Lapa!

A fab night out in the Samba Quarter

sunny 30 °C

It's a sunny Saturday morning and my head is slightly foggy after a 3am in Lapa.
Lapa is full of samba bars and everyone sings and dances to samba without having a care in the world.
The streets are full of street vendors selling capirinha cocktails from as little as £1 and the atmosphere was fantastic.
We went to boteka de jugo where an 80 year old granny was the star in the audience - she danced away beside the band.
